As this chapter begins, it is important to understand yourself, who and what you are serving. In the times that we are living in it is easy to follow the wrong person or thing. When the only one we are to serve or pattern ourselves to model is Jesus Christ, our Savior. Once we have evaluated ourselves then we are able to determine what and why we do the things, we do. This brings into account our motives and the actions that we take in a day-to-day walk. I realize that all who read this will not be on the same level in their lives, therefore I pray that we all can gain understanding from the word of God regarding being a disciple versus a fan.

Dictionary.com defines disciple as 1) one of the 12 followers of Jesus Christ; 2) one of the 70 followers sent forth by Jesus Christ Luke 10:1 and as any other professed followers of Jesus Christ in their lifetime.
