The Bell has Rung
Do you remember when you were in school and you would hear the bell ring several times throughout the day? I remember as a child when the bell would ring. The ringing bell signified the beginning of a class period and it would ring again when the class period ended. But then there were times when the bell would ring unexpectedly. Everyone would freeze in the school house and become quiet. The school would freeze all activity, listening for the voice to come across the PA system letting us know what was happening. Was it an emergency? All we knew was the routine was broken and something was going on. We knew it had to be of great importance to break our normal routine. Well guess what, God has released a sound alerting us to get our house in order. Revaluate some of the things are you doing. Determine if it is a good thing or a GOD thing. Have you really let go of your past hurts and failures? Do you represent God in your home or job the same way you represent him in the church? Are you lukewarm? What does the bible say? In Revelation 3....

The Lukewarm Church
14 "And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans[a] write, 'these things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,[b] I will vomit you out of My mouth.
Wow! This word was addressed to the church. The alarm has sounded are you listening? Are you lukewarm? One minute your praise was intense and now your praise is literally silent. Are you up and down when man applauded you flying high but soon as the applause ceased you shut down? Are you truly trying to please GOD or man? We are in a season where we need to really examine why we do what we do. Jesus died for a reason and it was to bring man back to God through his blood. Well guess what, are we truly making our way back to God or are we moving further away from him? Wake up Church! Time is winding down. Don't you see what is happening--rumors of wars, torrential rains, hurricanes, mudslides; just to name a few. It's time to get things right. It is not about fancy cars and fancy homes or bling-bling. God will bless you if you keep him as your center. Remember that the things of pleasure or our flesh should not be our center! The bell has rung, the alarm has sounded. So what is your response?
