It is in these times all through his word that God allows some things within us and around us to be fine tuned. It is in these same times that we are stripped and all that is left is that man or woman in the mirror — no facades. This is that place where if to no one else but God we are the most transparent.

I thought about how amazing God is as I re-read the story of the Samaritan woman. She is desperate for a drink. Unbeknown to her desperation would bring her to an encounter with Jesus. Her encounter left her with rejuvenation and a willingness to tell 'everyone' just who and how great Jesus was to her.

Desperation can spark a change in a person. It's in the hopeless times in our lives that I believe God allows for the refining to happen. In all your desperation...your weariness God sees you. He is seeking you and all he awaits is that moment your ready with a thirst. These are the times that he refines, teaches; and grooms us for the other side of desperation.

Remember the other side is perseverance & purpose.
